I always read James Herriot through the winter, and Eliabeth Goudge The scent of Water will be somewhere in there too :) Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16703743820177505134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-64324810754789218742019-01-03T17:40:13.057-05:002019-01-03T17:40:13.057-05:00This reminds me that I still want to read Chasing ...This reminds me that I still want to read Chasing Slow.

And I think Humble Roots is the one you mentioned to me this summer?

Please tell me more about butterfly violin one you recommended on my post.*carrie*https://www.blogger.com/profile/10545859613596796648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-34412412316501362592019-01-03T13:19:45.633-05:002019-01-03T13:19:45.633-05:00This year I have 3 Books that I plan to make sure ...This year I have 3 Books that I plan to make sure I aim to read. The most memorable books that I read during 2018 are: Soulful Simplicity by Courtney Carver, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls (1&2) by Elena Favelle and Francesca Cavallo, and the Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim Defede. I also enjoyed starting The Darling Dahlias series about life and mysteries in a small southern town during the Great Depression. Happy reading in 2019!Momnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-85990495491832763632019-01-02T08:11:06.618-05:002019-01-02T08:11:06.618-05:00My first book of the year will be The Gentle Art O...My first book of the year will be The Gentle Art Of Domesticity by Jane Brocket. Thank you for your list. I have been in a book club recently, but unfortunately the books have been of the creepy and disturbing kind. I have decided that is not something that I should continue to read, even if it is for a book club. I will check out the books on your list.
