They also support the neck and as well as maintain the body balance. So when I wash them and dry them (really well with tennis balls) every couple years they are fluffy again. My cleaners actually took them and gave them new outside cases and refluffed the feathers. Can't remember how much it cost, but man, I didn't know you could put them in the air/fluff cycle in the dryer. Could of saved some money.
