Cozy Camping Beauty

You know me and my love for setting a pretty table! So, you know I had to bring some things with me and do a pretty table at least once while we were camping!

About a month before, I started looking for a new tablecloth - I wanted a vinyl {easy to wipe clean} one that looked like a grain sack! Shouldn't be that hard, right? Well, maybe.

Basically I scoured online and couldn't find anything like that - so there is an idea for Joanna Gaines: a cute vinyl tablecloth for camping!

Anyway, I enlisted the help of a kindred spirit and she helped me find this lovely tablecloth at TJ Maxx. Seriously, the fabric of this is a dream and it is exactly what you'd want in a farmy tablecloth! I didn't leave it out since it isn't vinyl - but am so glad we got to use it while camping! I love it!

Remember how I take a small box of things when we travel at Christmas? Well, I've started doing this almost every time we leave home: hurricane evacuation - check. Camping - check. Summer travel - check. Yes, this little suitcase {which was my great-grandmothers} has accompanied me on many beauty adventures!

In my case this time were the tablecloth, thermos, candle holder and votives, little trees, printable activities shown yesterday, scissors, twine, etc.

The little sticks were cut to be place card holders one Thanksgiving and I love how rustic they look. The trees are from the Target dollar spot one Christmas.

Setting a pretty table is always fun and this was no exception! It was so simple and took only a few minutes.

Sausage, hashbrowns and green beans were a cozy meal for our last night of camping too!

After dinner, I grabbed my jacket, Bible and journal and took a little walk to this charming bridge. It was lovely to just sit and process some things.

This cute cabin is near where we camp and David is always gracious to pull over and let me take photos from the window!! Ha!

So pretty, Monica! I've enjoyed all the photos. Do you camp at a campground or is it private property? It looks so beautiful!

Monica, This post was so refreshing and peaceful at the same time. I love how you are able to capture the wonder of God,how to live slow, bless your family and renew yourself all at the same time. You are always an inspiration to me.
