Plaid Inspiration Outdoor Dinner

A little photo overload today because taking photos of pretty things makes me happy - and is almost as much fun as setting the pretty table!

Saturday evening I hosted our area CC Directors for an appreciation dinner and had so much fun bringing a plaid theme to the table! This was the night after the dinner I showed on Monday - so my table was still outside and the same flowers were available. The baby's breath was leftover from a shower I attended and the hostess offered to share them - I love how they look in the thermoses!

For take-home goodies, I found these little plaid pumpkins at Target which were basically free. I had a $10 off home decor purchase coupon! Earlier this year we cleaned out our shed and I found two boxes of canning jars I didn't know I had - so I filled those with homemade granola and tied on a magnet that were a Shutterfly freebie in recent months.

Everything else was shopped from what I already have! It is so fun to take the same ingredients {things I already have} and lay them out in a new way than I have before. Looking for new combinations or a little twist on something - just so fun!

After agonizing over the menu - I had help deciding on what to serve! I made chili, baked potatoes and salad bar - it was delish! And perfect for helping special dietary needs all get something they could have.

Plaid is timeless, it never goes out. You need to start a business and share your talents of decorating tables. You have talent.
