cultivating the simple pleasures of faith, family and home
What a gorgeous spot to spend a few days together! I can almost smell the woods, the pancakes and chili cooking, and hear the water in the creek. This brings back happy memories of camping together when you and Carrie were little. :)
It looks lovely! We had snow on the ground this morning so no camping here, I'm not that tough!
Looks like such a wonderful slowing and peaceful time.
You never cease to amaze me with your lovely table settings~ even while camping! Your campsite is just beautiful, and it looks like you all ate VERY well!
Looks like you all really had fun! Must have been pretty chilly, though!?Love you, Grandma/Nana
@Pam: I spent extra time and energy this time on food because where we live is not cool and Fall/cozy so since I knew we were going to get cool weather - I wanted to make all the cozy Fall food!!!!
What amazing mom you are, love all the photo's. Have a wonderful camping trip!
Well all your efforts in the the food department certainly show, and I know it was well received by your sweet family. I KNOW it was extra work for you, and I want to encourage you that are a great mom and wife! What you do matters.PS~ I'm all about fall/ cozy too, so I totally get your wanting to create that while in the mountains! We also moved from a warmer climate (though not quite yours) and I've been totally relishiing the coziness of mountain living. It's been really fun. And after so many years of coming up here for fall weekends, it's been such a blessing to actually "live" it!
