Slow Day: Happy Spring Party!

Bunny Biscuits for breakfast: I have to tell on myself that these were the worst biscuits I ever remember baking. I woke up with an awful headache and in my not feeling good, I added baking soda instead of baking powder. I realized it but couldn't scoop it out - they tasted strongly of baking soda! I was reading aloud while everyone else ate and after I tasted my breakfast I was so amazed they had all eaten without complaint - ugh, they were not tasty!

Enjoying our clean porch for our Spring Party!

Laying down and reading during Quiet Time.

Leftover soup from the freezer made a very simple dinner - and it was our first family dinner on the porch this year!

Crafting and Downton Abbey on the porch as the sun set.

Bedtime reading.

I almost picked up that book at Family Christian this weekend. I am super sad to see them close! I enjoy browsing the book section. To me, there is nothing like holding a book in my hand. :)

I'm sure we have all had those cooking disasters. As a new bride I was going to impress my father-in-law with breakfast. I added a mix of flour and sugar (by mistake) to the gravy. Almost 16 years later and he still says I make a "sweet" sausage gravy. It's funny today!
