Slowing Summer: Read a Book

Two of my three children have already finished their summer reading program! And, I've been enjoying reading too!

Here are a few things I've read this summer:

The Nesting Place by Myquillin Smith {a second read for me and always a great read!}
Hope Unfolding: Grace-Filled Truth for the Momma's Heart by Becky Thompson
The Daughter of Highland Hall by Carrie Turansky
Secrets by Robin Jones Gunn
The Money Smart Family System by Steve and Annette Economides

I'd love to hear some suggestions for other things to read this summer!

Also, if you are looking for an additional reading motivation for younger readers - we've enjoyed the Barnes & Noble program where you fill out a questionnaire and receive a free book from a list of available titles in their stores. All three of our children have gotten and enjoyed their free books!

I love the Nesting Place - such a great book!

I read Dear Mr. Knightley over Christmas break and it was so good.

Jack and Jill by Louisa M Alcott. So old fashioned, such beautiful writing, so simple yet so profound. It is supposed to be a child's book, I guess, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!!
