Celebrating the Last Day of School!

We have really worked hard this year at school and pressed hard to take less breaks and finish early! It all suddenly paid off the day we realized we hit 180 days and we could wrap up our school year with a little celebration!

Somehow I didn't even think of this until the day before so our celebration was sweet and simple! During breakfast we talked about the blessings of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. We talked about how learning is a blessing and why knowledge is a gift.

I reminded each little student of something they really improved at this year {or more than one thing} and gave a gentle challenge of one thing to keep working on for the summer and beyond. We talked about our favorite things we'd learned and enjoyed the practice of thinking through how learning helps us to "Know God and Make Him Known."

Each one was assigned a verse to read and we talked about what we learned through these verses about learning: Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 8:9-10, Proverbs 23:12, Proverbs 24:3-4, Proverbs 9:9

After all of this, we had fun making our summer bucket list with a cute popsicle printable I found via Pinterest!

I'd also thought of "playing" Scrabble and only using words that describe things we learned this year but forgot about it in the moment!

Each school year completed is a success and accomplishment for both students and teachers!

Way to go, teacher!

Your popsicle board is super-cute. After at least 3 years of me making an ABC list, this year I'm going to have us all contribute a few ideas, regardless of the letter they start with. =)

Everything you do is so beautifully thought out! Love the popsicle bucket list. last year we did one with beach buckets! I was just thinking of what we could do this year! Once again thanks for your witness & inspiration.
