Mountain Camping: Beautiful Slow! Part 1

The world around us tries to tell us every day that slow is not beautiful, slow is somehow less than busy/hurry. After our not-so-slow beginning to April, we were ever so eager to get away together as a family for a few nights of camping in the NC mountains!

Last Fall I shared that we had bought a lot in a neighborhood in North Carolina for when David retires. This neighborhood is slow all the way around - we love it so much! And, they have their own campground - we had it all to ourselves recently and it was ever so glorious. Time seemed to stand still - one day felt gloriously long and like we'd been there a week already - in a good way!

In spite of some tummy issues going around in our family, we enjoyed so much slow. I loved trudging through endless woods, listening to the creek, exploring with my sweet family and oh, the stars! Absolutely breathtaking!

Happy weekend hopefully filled with some beautiful moments of slow! More camping pictures coming Monday!
