Family Night: The Other Side of the Camera

We did get to see a sunset this week for Family Night though it is not the one pictured above! This week, we were on the other side of the camera getting our family photos taken for Christmas cards and gifts!

The old house and barn with chippy paint and weathered wood, the railroad bed with newly removed tracks leading to a bridge where we experienced one of the most gorgeous sunsets I have ever seen, a dolphin, sun shimmer on the water, littles making an adventure of everything, being together - all made for a lovely evening. Sweet thanks to a dear friend who took our photos and now the excitement of waiting to see them!

I thanked each one in my sweet family for being good natured about mama's desire for family photos each year. I hugged and smiled at them and told them when they are all grown up - I will love looking back at each of these photo sessions we have preserved through the years! And, yes - for my crazy love of old buildings and rustic settings - they have been adventurous about it and not complained!
