It might have been a "slow" day...but what a day...so much fun :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

We have had a crazy month and the next two weeks promise to be equally, if nor more, crazy. I was trying to think of a way to reward my boys for their hard work in school when these two weeks are up (we started in May so we're about 1/3 of the way through). A slow day in addition to some treats sounds perfect.

I like celebrating special days on the calendar... Like national ice cream day, or walk a dog day... Well today is, Relaxation Day! Looks like you picked some good things to celebrate whether you knew what today was or not! ;)

Ahhh. I like your idea of Slow Day!! Ummm, I'm wondering name of the book? Something about "Christmas?" Author Rainey? Barbara Rainey?? I'm going to have to go on Amazon!

Sorry to "flood" your comments section - but I found the book at CBD! I should have recognized it! I think I have it! Will have to check!

Love the pictures. I love the idea of putting the jar of flowers like you did. :)

Love this - my kids are a little too young for such a peaceful time, but soon! What kind of cake is on the lunch picture? It looks delicious! (Weird question, lol!)

Grace!

You have such beautiful handwriting! I think this every time I look through your photos and catch a glimpse of it. :)

The "cake" is butterscotch bars - here is a link to the recipe: http://thehomespunheart.blogspot.com/2009/04/butterscotch-bars.html
