Strawberry Jam

Five batches of strawberry jam have been made - and more strawberries still in the fridge!

Two years ago, I made jam using the recipe linked to above and it turned out great! Last year a friend and I made preserves using a different recipe and it was so firm it was hard to get out of the jar - we're not sure what happened exactly!
So it's back to the original recipe and hoping for better results this year!
It has been a long year without fresh homemade jam!
I also made one batch using this recipe and one batch with the above recipe only using pureed berries - so far everything looks good.

Sunday morning, I made homemade biscuits and we had fresh jam - mmmmm, divine!

I'm enjoying these strawberry picking posts. I have to admit that I'm a little jealous, though; we won't see strawberries for at least another month.

I feel like my day won't be complete without homemade biscuits and srawberry jam. But our berries won't be ready until Memorial Day. What's a girl to do?
(just kidding!)
I think this will be the year that I try making jam! Thanks for making it look do-able.
