Mama & Me Crafting

A little night owl lives in my house named Emily! And, she recently asked me to do a craft time with just her. I couldn't do it right then, but did keep the idea close to pull out one night when other littles were already asleep.

I pulled out canvases, buttons, ribbon and paint. I lit candles and put on some peaceful, worshipful music. And, we created ...

No rules, just fun and whatever we wanted to make. She asked for help painting a horse :)

Of course, Rachel wanted to paint the next day - here is her creation:

This is so sweet! It inspires me to create a special time with Jane...candles, music, and quiet bliss.

I love these precious moments and how you make them extra special with the little things. Emily made masterpieces! I love her nest of eggs. Lovely, Angelia in Tx

Love this! And it reminds me of my own late-night crafting with Emily in Colorado one Christmas :)
Love to all, Mom

My girls and I love to craft and paint together. I love the way we bounce ideas off each other, it always makes for more interesting projects in the end.

How sweet! My daughters love arts and crafts projects, though their mother isn't very crafty at all! ;)

Finding this time at the end of the day for you and Emily to craft must be such a treasure. The youngers are asleep and your to-do list has been put away. My son stays up later than my daughter, but I struggle on how to engage him. Our interests are so different. Last night, he mercilessly beat me in a game of ping pong. But I shouldn't assume that he wouldn't like to craft.

I have several pieces of my children's art framed in my home. They're the ones that I cherish most.

Very cute. I love the ribbon on the pictures. Kidsd art is the best~I love going back and seeing how their art chages as they grow older.

One word "inspiring", wish I weren't so done at the end of the day. I need to find time to do this kind of stuff with my girls:) Thanks Monica.
