Locks of Love

Our girls had been wanting to get their hair cut at mommy's hair place! So, I gave them a little homemade coupon in their stockings to get their cut. The idea sort of morphed into them desiring to participate in Locks of Love as well! I was pleased, but did not push this as I wanted it to be their choosing. I love their new look! And, it has been so much easier to take care of! Here's the story in pictures!

How wonderful! I've donated to Locks of Love twice, and my husband has donated once. Your girls (and Samuel) are beautiful all the time, but those new cuts are *adorable*. And you're right, short hair is so much more managable at that age. I was so excited when my then-4yo daughter wanted to cut hers. (She hated to even look at a comb/brush, much less use it!)

Darling! And how sweet that they wanted to do Locks of Love -- they have begun a life of service and giving (as taught by example of their parents)! Love you all, Mom

Oh, my! Their new haircuts are absolutely adorable! Praise the Lord for their desire to be a blessing to someone else out of the abundance of which He has blessed them - their beautiful hair! I think that even if your lovely girls had been shaved bald, their inner beauty would have shone through their warm, sparkling eyes! And... the little man is adorable, too!

I love those little cuts! They are so stylish too! My little girl has super curly hair and we can never go that short or I would have a mess on my hands.

What a sweet thing for the girls to do. Those cuts are adorable! I can see that it would be easy to comb and maintain. Rachel and Emily your new do is cute!!

I love their new do! I had 10 inches cut off at the first of June to donate to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths, in honor of a friend who passed away with cancer. I have about 3 more inches and I'll be ready to donate again. I measured my hair the other day and was shocked at how fast it is growing.

To some, donating hair may be a little thing, but to those on the receiving end ~it's a big thing.

I loved seeing their story in pictures.

So very precious!!

Having gone through chemo and radiation for cancer, it means so much to know that others (esp children) care...May the Lord richly bless you and your family.

Hannah did this too a few years ago! SO fun!
Your girls look ADORABLE! They look like mini-Monicas!! :)
Yes, short hair is great for little girls, so easy to manage. Even now Hannah's hair is growing back out and even though she is 9 she still needs a good bit of help to manage it. :)
Have a great day, friend!

Must be the season to give - - a friend's daughter just donated some locks too. My sister loved cutting ponies to donate to Locks of Love. She never charged her clients for the donation cutting or the nice hair cut afterwards. She went home to be with Jesus 3 months ago.

The girls' hair cuts look adorable!

Darling, darling!!! :) Locks of love, indeed. :)

My sister-in-law and niece just donated their hair to locks of love last month as well. You all are inspiring me with your generous gestures and darling dos!

So. stinkin'. Cute!! They look so adorable. I actually just did this myself - but donated the hair to pantene beautiful lengths, which is specifically for women with cancer as I was doing this to honor and remember by aunt who passed away from lung cancer. What a great thing to encourage in such young girls.
