A Garland of Thanks

Well, you knew it was inevitable - here come the Thanksgiving ideas! This first one is something you can enjoy working on from now until Thanksgiving!

My friend Melissa gave me this pumpkin jar a few years ago and I love this idea for enjoying it this year! Give Thanks printables here via Pinterest.

This jar is equipped with strips for us to write things we are thankful for on them and pens to do the writing. Each morning at breakfast we will each share one thing we are thankful for and then I'll bend them into circles and make a garland for adorning our Thanksgiving celebration. Cute printable strips here via Pinterest.

See the color of that paper? It's kind of become my Thanksgiving theme for this year - you'll be seeing plenty more of that color here! I'm also thinking of using a few of these strips for napkin rings at our dinner table!

We've also started our ABC's of Thanks list again! Do you have any plans for making Thanksgiving meaningful or beautiful?

This is such a great idea. I have been looking for some different ideas to do with my family. I am going to do this. Thanks for inspiring me.

What a cute idea. I love it. Wishing my kids were little, sitting at the breakfast table excited to write what they are thankful for. :) And I love your thankful ABC idea your mom started. I am trying to write something I am thankful for each day on my blog. Have a thankful day. :)

We have done the ABC list of thanks in the past. (Thank you, Monica's mom, for the idea!) I love to look back on my kids' list in their evolving handwriting.
I also printed out the grateful slips to be made into the paper chain. But I used orange paper since that is what I had on hand. Is yours actually scrapbook paper or brown kraft paper on a roll. I really liked these strips because they were classy without using a ton of printer ink.

Hi Monica! I just wanted to say "thank you" for your beautiful blog. I just started a blog mostly for record keeping in our homeschool (although readers are welcome!) & I just linked back to you as my inspiration for our starting "family nights" a few years ago. Thank you for being such an encouragement to me over the years even though I have never commented frequently (or EVER). God bless!
