Glimpses of School

Just a few pix snapped during our homeschool times.
I'm usually too busy orchestrating school to take pictures, so these are over a few weeks - but still capture some of the essence of our times together and our time learning.

Emily loves to read!

Making edible cells out of Jell-O:

Creative hands:

Paper dolls that fit in with the history we're learning!

Craft supplies and puzzles are common sights:
Have I mentioned Emily loves to read?

I am so thankful for these days together!!
How is school going for you?

It's neat to see a lot of familiar curriculum. I didn't recognize the history though, what are you using for that? Thanks!

We are having a much better year...I am much less stressed and so are my big girls. We switched our curriculum, which I'm sure is part of it. Part of it too is that we have one year under our belts and I'm slowly letting go of the preconceived definition of what school is and has to be...keep the pictures and school posts coming...I love these updates!

Loved the pictures! I homeschooled a couple years and loved it. My girls are grown now but such happy memories.

These moments are one to cherish.
Do you and the littles homeschool in your screened porch? I would imagine that the air is starting to cool now.
Since my kids are in public school, I always encourage them to get outside in the afternoon and breathe in the fresh air.

I am loving all of this. Our school year is going good. I am so happy Emily loves to read. Keagan can read, but it is definitely not his favorite thing to do. Kind of hard for a book nerd mamma.
