Capturing Quiet

On our road trip, we stayed one night at Covenant College and I looked at a book on old barns where I learned this:

Photograph comes from two Greek words meaning to write with light - isn't that beautiful? I'm looking for ways to capture quiet in photos.

Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead

On our way home from Colorado, we spent a couple of days in the Kansas City area with my Aunt and Grandma. When I did a quick internet search about things to do there – I discovered this really neat children’s farmstead. It was free (wagon ride and goat feeding extra) and SO much fun! I am so glad we did this! My aunt reminded me that they had taken me here as a child – though I have no memory of that. Just a note in case you are interested in going – it is free Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday there is an entry fee of $2 per person.

My Grandma with our three littles!

Queen Anne's lace always makes me think of my Memee whose had these flowers at her wedding.

The one-room schoolhouse was a huge hit - I could not get my kids out of here! They wanted to stay here and we had such fun!

Horses

Our friends at Stony Gate Ranch were kind enough to invite us back to ride horses again! This time, we got Samuel to take a short ride and of course, the girls enjoyed every minute of it again!

Sweet

You may remember over a year ago when I shared about my friend Becky and her adoption journey - they are so close to bringing their little guy home and I'm excited for how God is working on their behalf!

While we were in Colorado Springs, we had the pleasure of seeing her and she graciously took some photos of our crew - enjoy! I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a photographer in the Springs!
