Creatively Simple: Set the Table

Have you noticed the pretty new paper goods made by Waverly? I saw these on sale last week and with a coupon, scored packages of each the cups, plates and napkins for $5 total. I rarely (and I mean very rarely) use paper plates, napkins or cups. But, they are nice to have on hand. When I'm pressed for time - what a pretty table I could set quickly and clean up quickly with something like this on hand.

If you're like me and don't really use paper - just try setting the table pretty! If you cut flowers like I did yesterday then you're centerpiece is all set!

Another great idea that is easy to do and doesn't cost much or perhaps cost is free! Thanks.

I bought some of those on sale also. Had a coupon. I never buy paper things either but I thought even having pretty napkins is fun.

Those are great plates!!! And setting the table simple can say so much. I recently did a blog post on learning hospitality and teaching it to my boys.....setting a simple table. The little things count for us. Where did you find the Waverly line of plates?

I love Waverly's line of fabric, so I'm sure I'd love their paper goods. They will make an everyday meal seem extra special for your family and/or friends.

OOoo! That IS a pretty paper plate. I wouldn't be able to resist those either. I'll keep an eye out!

I found these at our local Bi-Lo grocery store.

I've admired these but haven't purchased them yet! I love a nicely set table! One of the first skills my mom taught us was to properly set a table--not anything over the top-- just the right way for silverware and glasses to be placed, etc.

Is your silverware pattern "Eternally Yours"? I have a few pieces from my mil, very pretty. They go well with paper plates!
