Creatively Simple: Bring Beauty In

It's a crazy busy week here and we'll be hitting the road mid-week to visit family - but last week as I was just living life around my home, I was thinking about how to bring creativity to my life simply. So that's what I'll be sharing about all week this week. Each idea will take no more than five minutes and bring some easy simple beauty to your home and allow you to be creative for a few minutes.

One of the simplest ways for me to bring beauty into my home is to put on a pair of flip flops, grab a pretty container and a pair of scissors and head outside. I love the act of cutting the flowers and greens, the arranging, the placing inside, the enjoying. Everything about it!

This is SO very easy and takes almost no time at all. When did you last go outside and cut something to enjoy inside?

Bonus: my first success at growing lavender! Nearly every time I go to the garden, I just rub my fingers over a piece and inhale their glorious smell!

Beautiful! I do the same, I love growing flowers but why keep them outside? I cut them and bring some inside as well. Great idea.

I have only seen dried lavender. The real stuff is very pretty.

I LOVE bringing beauty indoors. Many people plant flowers to simply watch die. They may enjoy them outside, but why not cut them and enjoy that indoors. Plus most of my flowers when cut grow even more. I love to use greenery from outdoors too. Tomato greenery is so pretty and smells nice too. Your flowers are amazing!

Our lilacs and chokecherry trees just bloomed last week, and I brought two bouquets inside. One I put on my nightstand just so I could enjoy it. :)

Your hydrangeas and lavender are lovely!

HI Monica...your hydrangeas are so beautiful ;) :) The color is gorgeous. Your lavendar turned out beautiful. It's such a nice shade of purple :) :)

You know what, I've really been working on making my home a haven :) :) ...started a couple of days ago. I'm getting my house clean, I'll by trying my hand at making paper roses to put in my little bud vases etc ;) :)

I think this is a really nice project and so easy :) :) I liv e in an apartment complex, so I can't c ut down the flowers around here :) :) However, I could buy some nice flowers at my local farmer's market ;) :) Have a great week :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Last week I brought in some stems of mint because I saw several ants on my living room floor. (Mint is supposed to keep them away.) But what I realized is how pretty as well as practical the mint stems are. I don't have any perrenials blooming right now, but I shouldn't ignore the greenery.
What kind of container did you use for your beautiful arrangement?
Looking forward to your upcoming posts this week--quick ways to add beauty is just what I need these last couple weeks of school.
