Grab that minute...

I recently came across a great quote by Mrs. Ruth Graham
and have been trying to grab minutes here and there to spend in His Word!

"The Bible stayed open in my kitchen all day. Whenever there was a spare minute, I grabbed that minute and spent it with the Bible. More likely than not, the book was open to Proverbs. If I had a problem I almost always got help there. Proverbs has more practical child help in it than ten books on child psychology."

A wonderful mum with 5 young sons gave me the same advice 20 years ago when I was newly married. She had proved that an open Bible on the kitchen bench DOES speak to a busy mum... even with 5 boys underfoot. Thanks for sharing this message afresh.
Blessings
Dorothy :)
PS - Those flowers are gorgeous :)

Grab that minute to refill your soul. Imagine if we filled ourselves with the Word as often as we nourish our bodies with food...
I really admire your intentional efforts to maximize your day for the Lord.

I love this! How true -- couldn't we all use another minute here and there with the Bible?? Thank you!

I Love That..The Word of God is so precious that it should Always be before our Eyes..but you know the sad truth..that I hate to admit...is I can hear a little Jingle or Song...and have it memorized instantly and yet I seem to struggle with memorizing the Word of God...it's so very frustrating...
have a great day

This is a must for this momma's day, I am empty with out bits to hold onto in each moment. The qoute is real wisdom, I am off focus somedays and need this written down as a reminder. I really like how you wrote the qoute on a piece of paper real pretty with your own lovely hand writing. I like to jot things down like that too. The autumn flower arrangement is a beatiful addition to the peaceful moment. I Love your beautiful thoughts. Angelia in TX
