After finishing all of it - we noticed a very interesting sight! There were over a dozen robins in our yard and they stayed there for the next couple of hours! They must've been finding quite a feast in that moist ground that had been buried under leaves all winter.
Later in the afternoon - I was thinking about how God cares for the birds:
Matthew 6: 25-27,And, then I thought that God could've provided us a nice day and put it in our hearts to do yard work JUST to provide some food for the birds! Of course I don't know that - but really, He cares that much about those birds and what they will eat and what an amazing thought!
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
He cares for us. And, He uses us to care for others even when we don't know it! I love that!!
