Lots of hearts!

Remember these Giving Thanks (I'm sorry, I can rarely get the Dayspring website to work or load for me!) jars I got around Thanksgiving? I've challenged myself to use them for our centerpiece this entire year, to encourage thankfulness and creativity!

I've had fun thinking of new things to put in them and the key is that whatever I go with cannot cost anything but must be from what I have. I've filled them with nuts waiting to be shelled, flowers, evergreen and cranberries and now cute fabric hearts.

Scraps of muslin are stitched with calico scraps and stuffed with cottony filling to create little heart pillows. When piled in the jars together - they look so cute and add a festive flair to the table.

I have been wanting to make these for some time, and I never seem to get around to it!
They are so cute, inexpensive if you already sew and have fabric, and would be a great way to keep little fingers busy with a first hand sewing project. (I was given my first sewing box at age 5 (almost 6) for Christmas. That was it, I have been hooked ever since!)

I so love all your ideas, and I think I will FINALLY be able to join this weeks Haven challenge-Birthday projects for my older 2 have kept me busy since Christmas, but today and tomorrow are the special days, and then I will have a bit more time.

Off to continue my morning routine....

Darling. I made a heart-shaped wreath several years ago when you posted about that, and I don't think I've remembered to hang it up since! =)
