Field Trip: Mary Jane's Farm

I am soooooo excited about this! Some of you may remember how much I've enjoyed reading and learning about Mary Jane and her charming, organic farm in Idaho. (Photo above from Mary Jane's website - can you imagine sleeping in this tent?)

Well, I just heard from my sister's friend, Lisa, who is going to get to go and stay there for a bit this summer! (I'm jealous!) Anyway, she's offered to find out what we want to know and give us the opportunity to go on a virtual field trip! She takes AMAZING pictures by the way, so this will be really neat.

Anything specific you'd like to know or learn?

I *heart* Mary Jane!! I would love to go there. I have and love her book, too!! I want her other book...about stitching.
Not sure what I'd want to know.

I'm happy for Lisa that she gets to go to Mary Jane's Farm and can't wait to hear her report and see her photos! Maybe someday we can go! Love you, Mom

That's so cool--I know Lisa will take amazing pix!

I'll think about possible questions . . .

I live about half an hour away from Mary Jane's Farm and my husband makes deliveries there. I have yet to go and visit myself and have always wanted to.

Oooo, I haven't heard of her, but she sounds like she is right down my alley.

I am doing an all organic garden this summer and would love any ideas on organic pest control. I have little knats right now--many of them--that came out of my organic-soil starting bed. They are eating my roots and therefore killing the plants, and I don't know what to do with them.

I'll be happy to read and visit via her pictures. :0)

I went to Mary Janes Farm a few years ago, and loved it! I was there for her farm fair, what fun it was! I have since found out that my brothers best friends wife is good friends with Mary Janes daughter, Meg, and my brother saw Mary Jane at his friends wedding!
