Lantern

I finally got around to making this thrifted cheese grater into a lantern ala Junk Market Gals. This will be a trade with my friend who is letting me use her wheat grinder and selling me some of her fresh eggs! I am so excited!

Here are the results:

A piece of fabric makes a cute "doily" for this to sit on! Inside is a small glass flower pot and votive. I spray painted the grater and attached a tag that I "laminated" with packaging tape.

Does the cheese grater lantern have a
base that you made? Or is the candle just sitting on the fabric?

Cute idea! Hope to copy it soon!

Elise - the fabric came from Hobby Lobby. When we passed through a town with a HL recently, I saw they still had some.

Karen - there is not a base - just sitting on fabric!
