Spring Cleaning: Car

Friday was scheduled to be car and porch spring cleaning - but the porch just did not happen. It was one of those days - here is a photo to prove it (and this is just the tip of the iceberg):

Ever have a day like that?

Anyway, we took the car through a car wash in an effort to simplify our cleaning today. I consider it well worth it!

When we got home, we got out the vacuum, got snacks for the little ladies and put on some music.

Before pix:

The girls had fun playing in the car and listening to Veggie Tales! Emily had fun driving:

Here is what I did:
* Vacuumed everything
* Cleared clutter - took toys inside
* Picked up trash and emptied
* Dusted dash board and cup holders, etc...
* Cleaned off stroller that was sitting on the porch and returned it to the trunk where it goes! It was covered in pollen...

Yay! I wouldn't have thought to clean out the car--I should add that to my list. Although we woke up to more snow this morning, so I'll probably wait for a warmer day!

Nice dress, Emily. =)

Great job -- doesn't it feel great to get something like that done?!? Dad washed my car this weekend (thanks!), but I need to clean out the inside. I'll wait for warmer weather as we have snow again, too. Love you, Mom

Did I mention how impressed I am with all the projects you've been tackling while having a new little bundle of joy in your home?? Lately, in a few moments where I've felt like I don't *have the time* to accomplish some of the tasks on my to-do list, I just think of you and all the ladies participating in your "Spring Clean" activity!!! You put me to shame in this area, and I thank you for your inspiration! (Proverbs 31:27)

Your car looks great!!! You have inspired me to do mine within the next few days. My dh usually is the one to clean the cars, but I would love to surprise him by doing it myself. I also need to get the oil changed this week.
You are an inspiration. Thanks for the great posts.

Great job, Monica! Ryan washed our cars for us yesterday and they so needed it. I did the deep cleaning a few weeks ago and it is now a pleasure to ride in our car instead of a stresser. Thanks for all of your encouragement!

Your car looks great. I have this on my list as well. I'm seriously considering having the outside *and* inside done for me at the car wash. They have ladies day specials where it is a little cheaper.

Hey, I think you vacuumed up some perfectly good french fries! LOL It looks really good. I think I know what I'm having my boys do tomorrow afternoon!

Be blessed, Lea

Looks great! :D

Yeah, I had 'a day like that' yesterday as well.. which started off by my little one drinking a big glass of kefir and standing on one chair, going to step on another..

And, of course, she tripped. And the kefir went EVERYWHERE.. especially on the (just painted) wall.. whoohoo! ;)

greetings from the netherlands!

Winter is nearly over, and I'm just about to start cleaning out my car. I think the biggest hassle is getting the kids to help out, so I love how your kids were having a good time! I just need to get started on the interior windows and dusting, and it should be in order. Thanks for this fun-to-read advice! http://www.sfcompauto.com
