Decorating for Spring: Book Covers

I don't know why - but the colors that keep coming to my mind this year for Spring are blue, brown and black/white toile!

I got these books for a dime a piece last summer:

I covered them with toile wallpaper (Habitat ReStore, thanks Mom!); nothing fancy here - just cut a piece and fold around each book tucking inside the front and back covers:

A scrap of light blue paper makes a band around the books and is taped underneath and just tucked inside the cover of the top book:

A scrap of brown ribbon completes the set:

Pair these with similarly colored items for a nice Spring display:

It's fun to see what you are doing with the toile paper we got while I was there -- very cute result! :)
Love you, Mom

LOVE it! ;)

I tried so many times to lay books around for decoration, but somehow they never really seemed to fit together..... now this is the key!

Greetings from the netherlands!
