Peanut Blossoms

Here is the second of my favorite Christmas cookie recipes! I bet lots of you already make these as they seem to be pretty popular!

Peanut Blossoms

Sift together:
1 3/4 c. flour
dash salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream the following:
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter

Gradually add:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar

Add:
1 unbeaten egg
2 T. milk
1 t. vanilla

Beat and blend the dry ingredients. Shape into balls, roll in granulated sugar and bake on cookie sheets for 6-8 minutes at 375. Remove and put a Hershey's kiss in the center of each cookie. Slip back into the oven for 3 minutes.

Enjoy!

These look so yummy! I think I will make these for Christmas but not until closer to the day or I will eat them all!

Blessings,

I just asked Eric yesterday if I were going to make just one kind of cookie what he want, and this was his pick!

These are my all-time favorite cookies!! :-)

My mother and I make a bucket of them every year. (Usually we have to make two because the first one is gone before Christmas!)

I also make these for Christmas... and anytime! I always buy my kisses on clearance after Christmas and stach them in my freezer. That way I have them on hand whenever I have a taste for these cookies!

It is nice getting a peek at what others make as Christmas goodies!
