Christmas Re-Cap

Happy New Year! I'm excited to get back to posting and get caught up with everyone! I trust you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration and wanted to share a few highlights of our week together!

First of all, I just had to show you how the little ladies looked in their new Christmas jammies!
Our Advent Walk went great and here is our group (minus a couple of people) caroling:

We all exclaimed over how happy it seemed to make people when we rang their doorbell and started singing! It was so neat how much joy it brought to them!

When we returned home, we had a hot chocolate bar and lots of Christmas cookies. Unfortunately, it wasn't cold enough for anyone to want hot chocolate - but Emily was a willing recipient!

My parents were with us for Christmas, which was a special treat and we enjoyed our visit with them so much!

Monica,
Your little girls look darling in their jammies. My girls got new pajamas for Christmas Eve as well, although their's came from Target, but they loved them anyway. I've heard of several people who have this tradition and my girls have already asked if I will give them pajamas again next year, so it looks like it will become a tradition in our home as well.

I love the idea of the Advent Walk. We may be moving again this year with my husband's job, so I'm not even sure where we'll be living next Christmas, but I might try this. Even if I don't know many people I guess it would be a good way to get to know some better.

Looking forward, as always, to following your blog this year.

Happy New Year!
Kim

It was wonderful "keeping Christmas" with all of you this year! The Advent Walk evening was a very enjoyable time of good food, fellowship, and sharing Christmas with your neighbors. :)
Thanks for everything! Love, Mom

Monica,

Welcome back! The girls look so sweet in their jammies. I purchased my boys their jammies, I just ran out of time. We purchased them on sale, which was the only way to buy them. This is a tradition that my mom started with me & my brother when we were small, fell off course for several years (mom had hard times) and then when I had my family my mom brought pictures out and showed me so that I could start it with the boys.

I'm going to go through my freezer recipes and see if I have any tried and true for you without tomatoes.

I am looking forward to what this year brings for you and your family. May you have many blessings!!!

Happy New Year!!
Wendy

Your girls looked adorable in their little p.j.'s. It looks like you had a wonderful time caroling. Also, your hot chocolate looks so good - I understand about it not being cold enough to drink it, though. We've had some very warm weather here, too.

Happy New Year to you and yours!

The girls look so cute in their jammies! What a joy it would be to answer the door and hear a Christmas carol!
