Ahhhhhh!

One night recently after putting the little ladies to bed - I had a splitting headache - this was just the right cure! A great book and a mug of my favorite chai! So wonderful!

What do you do at the end of a long day to relax and rest?

I usually retire to the back porch with a cup of hot tea. Nothing fancy just black tea with a little sugar. Sometimes I will look through a magazine or read a book other times I just relax and enjoy the quite and night sounds. Then I go to bed early. Last night was sound asleep by 8:30!

Similar to you-- a good book and a warm drink help me wind down. (Or, sometimes a favorite movie-- Emma or Sense and Sensibility, anyone?) Soft, comfy clothes and and a throw over my knees. AH!

Hi Monica...love that picture.

We love chai at our house, too. Have you tried this recipe for making it yourself? http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chai-Tea-Mix/Detail.aspx

We mix it up in large batches. The cardamom, while a little harder to find, really *makes* it.

Thanks for all this thankfulness....it's great.

Yogi Ginger Tea in my grandmother's china teacup while cleaning up the kitchen. Then a cozy blanket on the couch. Satisfying slosh and hum of the dishwashwer in the background. Fire in the fireplace. The book of Isaiah (lately) with my journal nearby for jotting down notes and verses. Folding a basket of fresh-out-of-the-dryer fluffy white bathroom towels. A hot bath. Candles. A book on nutrition. Snuggling with hubby under the covers talking about everything under the sun.

I'm thankful for all the above!!

I like to combine as many cozy things as I can to relax. :) A nice, hot bath with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa or something.

I enjoy getting on my nightgown, going to bed with a hot cup of coco, or tea, and a good book and just reading until I drift off to sleep!
