Monkey Bread

Since Daddy was gone all weekend, I was trying to do fun things for the little ladies! One morning I made this for breakfast. I remember loving it as a child and hadn't had it in YEARS! We all loved it!

Monkey Bread

1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed, and cut into 24 pieces

Roll pieces in cinnamon and sugar and place in a greased loaf pan.

Melt 1/2 stick butter; stir in 1/2 c. brown sugar. Pour over bread pieces. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Invert onto serving plate. Enjoy!

I haven't had monkey bread in ages! I might have to make this for my family as a Saturday morning treat.

Yummy! I'm so glad you posted this, Monica. Eric and I were just talking about monkey bread, but I didn't think I "could" make it without a Bundt pan. Shows what I know--we'll definitely try this soon.

My dd13 and I were just talking about making Money Bread for our Keepers at Home planning meeting on Monday. We've never made it before, so we're going to give your receipe a try.

Oh Monica, this brought a flood of RD memories back to me as monkey bread was a staple for the dorm!

And to Carrie...I also thought I could never make it without a bundt pan but many of those college girls told me it can be made in anything, even a 9x13 pan which became the perfect size for all those study breaks in N. Hall :)

Looks DELICIOUS!!!

Monica,

I've made this for years. It's the next best thing to cinnamon rolls. I use the frozen rolls. It's alot quicker and you don't have to cut the loaf apart. For a larger crowd I will put it in a bundt pan. If it's just my husband & I, I will use a loaf pan.

I have enjoyed reading your blog. I found you through my neice Amy in Colorado.

Blessings,
Devonne

sounds so yummy! You could also put in a bundt pan--that's how my mom used to make it.
