First Harvest: Spinach

The miniscule spinach salad here - was spinach harvested from our garden yesterday! It was a small salad for each of us, but it was reward for the effort! More garden updates later this week, lots of goodies are coming up! Anyone else gardening?

Nope, not yet. We still have snow on the ground. Average weekend to plant gardens here is end of May.

OH MY I am HUNGRY now!!! Wow your food looks so good. I always appreciate thoughful placing on plates. ;-) How nice to have fresh veggies that you know are as free of toxins as possible...YAY!

We're supposed to get snow today, isn't that ridiculous? I don't see any yet, am hoping it fizzles out instead! ;-)

I've already sent out two of your handmade greeting cards. I love them! Looks like your spring swap partner is in for a real treat!! I sent my partner's out on Tuesday, but I can't post until she gets it so I don't spoil her surprise....hehe

I've started my tomatoes inside but am too scared to start hardening them off since it's been so cold lately!

Wow, that looks simply delicious! Great job!
My goal is that I will create a container garden this year for some spinach and some herbs. (Basil & cilantro mainly)
I am still waiting for a warm enough day, although I may purchase the stuff needed tomorrow and get it started inside this weekend.

Congrats on the first harvest!!

You've made my stomach growl and it's not even 10:30am! Delicious meal -- and totally rewarding to eat spinach from your own garden. I'm a bit jealous that you're already eating the fruits of your labor... It's sooo cold here in Nebraska -- no gardening yet!

My hubby and I are about to start a garden. We've never had one and we're starting with square foot gardening. We hope to get some things planted soon. If the weather would stay consistent it would make it much easier! Your salad looks just yummy!
