Can you help?

I recently got this Pampered Chef flower shaped bread pan at a thrift shop for fifty cents! And, it looks like it has never been used. So, now the big question - how do I use it? Can I use any bread dough in it? What if it doesn't fill the whole thing? If any of you have one or any experience with one, would you please share your experience?! Thanks!

Preheat oven to 375. Lightly spray the inside of the tube and lids with nonstick cooking spray. Place lid on bottom of bread tube; fill tube with dough. Place lid on top. Bake, upright, 50-60 min. Remove from overn; cool 10 min.

Use 1 pkg. (11 oz) refrigerated French Bread dough

I have one with the original instructions, too--they are exactly what Amber gave you. It is very disappointing that Pampered Chef didn't think beyond the "frozen bread dough" box. I think you will be able to use any yeast dough (not quick breads)--but how much should you put in there is the question?

Let us know when you experiment!

Wait--here is a discussion of the bread pans. Someone wrote to King Arthur Flour. They responded that any 1 pound bread dough could be used. That means, if you have a 1-lb bread maker, you can use it for the dough cycle and then bake in the tube pan in the oven.

I've also used quick bread dough in the tubes. You just can't fill it the whole way (about 2/3) because it expands. Good luck!

I have a heart shaped one. I have only used it once with quick bread. You have to put foil over the bottom before you put the cap on when using a runnier batter.

I found this website with tips.

I also read someone used store bought cinnamon rolls. Stick the whole roll in the pan and slice when baked. I'm gonna try that one.

My Mom gave this to me for Christmas one year. Follow the instructions posted. This bread can be sliced for fancy tea sandwiches.

Also, I have used the end as a flower cookie cutter. Place an M7M in the center and sprinkle with sugar.

Can't wait to see and hear how you use it. I would love to taste how you use it, but I don't think that's going to happen. :)

Now, see? This is one of the reasons I LOVE having a blog - look at all the great info you helped me with! I'll let you know my experiments and what works.

Ohhh, great help for me too as I recently bought one at the thrift store as well.

And then thought, what do I do now?

Here's a link with all the details.

Make sure you grease it really well - I made raisin bread in mine and it wouldn't come out. I ended up having to make bread pudding after shredding it with a spoon.
