Getting to know you...

I can hardly believe it! Have you seen my site meter? I've had 10,000 visitors since I added it sometime in April!

Can you tell I'm excited?! I really have had a ball with my blog and the friends I've made and kept up with this way.

So, now I'm curious about you! Would you be so kind as to comment (even if you usually don't) and let me know why you read my blog and if you have a blog of your own that I (and others) can visit?!

Thank you so much for reading the rambling thoughts and ideas of a girl who loves the Lord, her husband, children, family, and all things homey!

I feel like I have gotten to know you and your heart by following your blog regularly, since we live in California and our paths don't naturally cross. I appreciate your creative ideas as you serve the Lord and your family, and always feel your positive perspective shining through! Your energy amazes and inspires me! I appreciate the joy you find in all you do! I also enjoy knowing that we are in a similar stage of life in terms of parenting, which makes your ideas all the more helpful! Thank you for your godly example as a wife and mother and for sharing it with the rest of us!

I love your blog because you're always positive and willing to share--whether it is ideas or recipes. You are very generous and I enjoy checking it out every day. (I also have a darling, primitive, American pillow you stitched and gave away on your blog. Another example of your generosity.)

Hi My name is Sheryl and I'm from the UK. I can't remember how I cam e to your blog but I'm really glad I did. It's great to know that there are people all over the world who are like me and doing the same stuff I do(Although I don't blog...yet!)We have four kids from 8-2 which we home school. It's a bit more unusual here than in the US. Thanks for sharing yourself :-)

Dear Monica:

Your blog is an amazing window into your heart and life! I love knowing what you are doing and thinking -- and I also enjoy reading the comments others leave for you. :) I love the photos and ideas that you share -- you inspire and encourage me as well as make me smile! I am thankful for the technology that makes it possible and for your dedication to keeping up with it -- the miles between South Carolina and Colorado don't seem quite so daunting because of your blog!

I love you and miss you!

Peggy - Thanks for stopping by and visiting! Love the picture that posts by your name - simple and elegant looking!

Mom - the only one of these commenters I actually know in person! :) I started this blog with the hope and intention of keeping in touch with friends and family who lived away - it sounds like that has been successful! If you were the only person who read and enjoyed it, I would consider it worthwhile! I'm sure you notice how many of the ideas are inspired by you or things we did growing up - I love you!

I just found your blog. I enjoy it very much. It's a safe, warm, cozy place to visit and I get lots of good ideas.

I have only been blogging about a month but I'm enjoying it. I can't imagine what it would be like to have 10,000 "hits"! Congratulations.
